Best dressed belongs to Taylor Swift at the Grammys

Little Taylor Swift managed to upset them all at the Grammys. Asking the question. Was Kanye really all that c-a-razy with his unannounced outburst at the MTV VMA”s?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t actually turn the channel when “You Belong To Me” comes on from Taylor Swift but Album of the year? Oh well, Gaga will get em next year. Right Darren?

This little underage country pop crooner has got something besides 4 new grammys and a duet with Stevie Nicks. Taylor happens to have a waifish model like swagger with skin so pure. Dressing Taylor is almost idiot proof. This little girl looks good in everything. At the Grammy’s Taylor’s stylist killed it, to the point that Taylor doesn’t need a-nother nod to go to her head. Country child star turned celebrity rehab Mindy McCreedy is proof of too much too soon not always too good. Ready to dissect.

Nothing looks better on cool eyes but a cool sparkly shiny navy blue gown. Kaurfman Franco who designed this dress gets my vote on innovation. I haven’t seen the 50′s navy glitter mixed with this type of shoulder line but done in an oh so “Esther Williams” swimsuit back way ever.

Super modern, super edgy and showed off Taylor’s shoulder blades, an area of the body that never gets enough attention. The fit on this dress is flawless around the bust paired with deep armholes and the execution on how the straps fasten on Taylor’s back is a designer using his muse as his architect. Honestly this dress almost deserved a bigger star wearing it to really do it justice. Drew Barrymore where was your stylist on this one? It’s that A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Taylor’s stylist mixed beautiful and each one different oversized bangles on Taylor’s tiny right arm by Ofira and Lorraine Schwartz. Earrings which were not over bearing but added texture to Taylor’s locks slightly upswept naturally and effortlessly.

I wish I could take something apart this but this Grammy night as Taylor sings belonged all to her. Good on you TS.

Style Tip-
Fit is by far the most important accessory when you are getting dressed. Whether you’re going to work or going out for an important event, make sure your clothing fits well. No bagging, sagging bulging where you don’t want it. Work with a seamstress/tailor on every item that you own. Don’t be worried about how little or how much you spent. Spending a few extra bucks to fit your body like the rocks stars do is worth the investment. You will be amazed at what you learn about your own body when you are your own fit model.

Perfectly Pink-At the Grammys

“Have you ever looked fear in the face and said I just don’t care”. Pink performed “Glitter in the air” last night at the Gramm’s where this line above comes from.

I should know, as this quote sits right on my Facebook page reminding me each and every day to remain fearless. How I wish I could sing for “one night only” like Pink. Do I wish I could sing wet on a trapeze? What are you crazy?

Dare devil norm for Mrs. Hart- Pink flying high- Pink flying wet- but pink flying high on style? Not Pink’s usual strong suit. Pink outdid even Pink last night. Ready to dissect?

I write a ton about wearing variations of the same shade when getting dressed. Pink’s dress is an example of my wedding cake theory. See how each layer of grey from Pink’s almost silver blonde hair down to her icy corset and charcoal train. Wearing all these shades cascading from light to dark gave the illusion of curves to Pink’s otherwise tomboy figure. The rhinestone belt on this Tony Ward Couture gown cuts all those grey shades with just the right amount of embellishments.

The use of Pink’s corset with embellished trim but not the same as the belt breaks up what could have been an otherwise boring dress. The right amount of accessories pulled it all together. A very feminine touch, almost school girl barrette in Pink’s hair paired with a swarovski clutch tied and a few glittery bracelets truly was breathtaking and a nice surprise on Pink. Ever the lady Pink was last night and most deserved of my “Most Improved” honor. Doesn’t anyone want to say somethin when celebs take your notes and improve? Sheesh!

Style tip-
When getting dressed in your own wardrobe don’t just wear just one color. Wear all shades of the same color together.  You will be amazed at how  simple it is to mix colors together even if just by accident.
